Asymptotic Characteristics of the Non-Iterative Estimates of the Linear-by-Linear Association Parameter for Ordinal Log-Linear Models

چکیده

Over the past decade, a series of procedures has been introduced to estimate, using non-iterative method, linear-by-linear association parameter an ordinal log-linear model. This paper will examine two key non-iteratively determined estimates for analysis between categorical variables that form contingency table; these are log and Beh-Davy estimates, referred simply as LogNI BDNI respectively. Such examination focus on determining their asymptotic characteristics. To do so, computational study was undertaken tables varying sizes show asymptotically unbiased. It is also shown both normally distributed. On basis standard errors, relative efficiency established 13 commonly analysed appear throughout literature.

A non-iterative alternative to ordinal Log-Linear models

Log-linear modeling is a popular statistical tool for analysing a contingency table. This presentation focuses on an alternative approach to modeling ordinal categorical data. The technique, based on orthogonal polynomials, provides a much simpler method of model fitting than the conventional approach of maximum likelihood estimation, as it does not require iterative calculations nor the fittin...

Power estimation of tests in log-linear non-uniform association models for ordinal agreement

BACKGROUND Log-linear association models have been extensively used to investigate the pattern of agreement between ordinal ratings. In 2007, log-linear non-uniform association models were introduced to estimate, from a cross-classification of two independent raters using an ordinal scale, varying degrees of distinguishability between distant and adjacent categories of the scale. METHODS In t...

non-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures

seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
